Omron Expands XN2 Series

August 20, 2009 - Omron Electronic Components has broadened its connector offering by releasing new XN2 models to meet growing global needs.

Product Positioning

• Background for Connector release: the primary focus application for the existing XN2's has been for Non-waterproof, Sensor I/O connectors, which only need 4 standard contacts (pins). However, there are many more opportunities that extend beyond this initial focus to include standard "Board to Wire" connector usage. To satisfy this market need, we will expand the line and present a low cost version with additional contact offerings (3, 5, 6 and 8Pins).
• The differences between the existing and new XN2 models include the terminal materials and an expanded variety of pin counts.
